Who We Worked With: Homeowner’s Family & Agent

We helped sellers with their family home. The owner was an elderly gentleman who had lived in the house for decades but was ready to move to a smaller home. When his children started to get the property ready to sell, they found out that foundation/drainage problems from extensive water intrusion really caused problems in getting a viable offer on the house. The family did not have the time or resources for the extensive repairs to make the property marketable, so an all cash, no contingency offer was very attractive to them.

According to local real estate agent Josh Dickinson, “I represented Bay Reach Homes on the purchase and renovation of 635 Santa Barbara Road in Berkeley, a home that required significant structural repair but was also a historic representation of Mediterranean architecture from the 1920s. The previous owner raised his children in the house but was on a fixed income, making extensive upgrades cost prohibitive for him. By selling to Bay Reach Homes at fair market value, the seller benefited from a speedy cash sale without having to spend any funds readying the property for market. After the renovation, the previous owner came back to see it with his daughter and couldn’t believe the transformation!”
